Come join the fun! We have all types of campers (tents, RVs, etc) and all ages of campers on our trips.
The camping group is made up of all types of campers. We have young and old, singles, families, people who camp in tents, tent trailers, and rvs, some even just come for the day. So come and join the fun! Here is a current list of our 2015 outings. To be added to the CUMC Camping Group E-mail list, contact Erica by email.
June 16-19: Anderson Cove Campground, Pineview Reservior. We have the group site reserved for this weekend. There is swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding.
July 1 - 3: CUMC All Church Camp, Pinecliff, UT. Registration will open in May 2016. We are in need of help with the planning (registration, food, activities, music). Contact Pastor Jean if you can help! All ages are welcome! Enjoy the beautiful mountains, cabins, hot water, food, fun and fellowship!
August 5-7: Redman Campground (group site). Redman Campground is located in scenic Big Cottonwood Canyon at an elevation of 8,300 feet. Salt Lake City is conveniently close. Visitors enjoy hiking, biking and fishing. The campground is set among a forest of shady spruce and pine trees. Vivid summer wildflowers are abundant and autumn leaves put on quite a show. Hiking and mountain biking are popular activities on area trails, including the Donut Falls Trail, which begins nearby. Fly-fishermen enjoy casting on Big Cottonwood Creek.
September 3-5: Bear Lake State Park (group site). The Caribbean-blue waters of Bear Lake are nestled high in the Rocky Mountains at the Utah-Idaho border. Rendezvous Beach is located on the south shore near Laketown on State Route 30. We have a group site reserved at Rendezvous Beach. Waterskiing, swimming, scuba diving, and sailing are favorite activities. Anglers enjoy fishing for cutthroat, mackinaw and whitefish.
CUMC CHURCH CAMP, PINECLIFF CAMP, UT
Pinecliff Camp is located up Chalk Creek Road, 18 miles from Coalville, UT. Elementary Camp and Junior High Camp are offered each summer. Dates are TBA. Information on both the junior high and elementary camps is located at www.Pinecliffcamp.com.
