  • Advent/Christmas Program - December 4, 2011 - Thank you to all the parents, teachers and especially the children who helped make our Children's Christmas Program a great success!  44 Children brought the Christmas Story to life.  Over 150 attended our Advent Event and lunch in the gym!  May you all have a blessed Christmas Season. 2011 Christmas Program

  • Fall Festival - October 30, 2011 - A big thanks to all who attended!   It was great fun and we raised $247.40 for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!

Exciting Changes Are Here! - Fall 2011

Our Children's Ministries committee is pleased to announce some exciting changes to our Sunday morning programming that we have implemented this Fall (for ages Kindergarten – 6th Grade). We have transitioned from our traditional Sunday School format to a Workshop Rotation Model. We will offer Children's Church called Praise Mountain at 9:00 am and the Workshop Rotation Format called Miracle Mountain at 10:30 am. In this new rotation format the same Bible story or theme is taught for 4 – 5 weeks. Each week, learners rotate to a different station (i.e. Crafts, Drama, Video, Science, etc.). The story remains the same, but children encounter it in different ways in each station. This format will allow us to utilize the many gifts of our congregation and make Sunday School more exciting for our children and volunteers. We hope you'll be part of these fun changes!

For our 3 & 4 year old children at 10:30 we offer a traditional Sunday School class with some new, fun curriculum called Buzz.  This will be a relaxed, safe environment for our youngest to begin their Sunday morning experience.

Nursery – infants through age 2 years

We provide loving childcare for infants and toddlers through age 2 in our Nursery on Sunday mornings in room 102 during the 9 am and 10:30 am Worship Services. Our Nursery is staffed by loving, fully trained adults who provide stories, crafts and music to our precious little ones.

We provide childcare for church sponsored events also. We ask that you call ahead to let us know you will need childcare for your event. You may make a reservation by contacting Candice at 801-548-4429 or Email.

A few reminders:
You must remain on the Christ United Methodist campus while your child is in childcare. Our childcare is a well child facility and we do not have the capability to care for children who are not feeling well. If your child is ill, please do not bring him/her to childcare.

5th & 6th Grade Tween Flicks

Meets on the second Sunday of each month at 5 pm during the school year for fellowship, spiritual growth, outreach projects, and group development.  Contact Barb & Jon Jolley for more information. 

Vacation Bible School

For children between the ages of 3 years – 6th Grade (rising), one week every summer.  Join us July 23 - 27, 2012 for Sky - Everything is Possible with God!  From 9 am - Noon each day.

Safe Sanctuaries

Because Christ United Methodist Church is a community of faith – a safe haven and sanctuary – where children and youth can be confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal we have implemented a Safe Sanctuaries Policy. This policy requires all volunteer leaders and staff to complete sexual abuse prevention training and complete a background screening. Please refer any questions to Vanitta Conrad, DCE at her Email.
