For many years at this church we have recycled paper, plastic, aluminum cans, electronic cartridges, etc., switched to washable rather than styrofoam cups and, several years ago, subscribed to the Blue Sky energy program of Rocky Mountain Power. All of these measures support our stewardship of the earth which is a principle of United Methodists.
We have a recycling bin adjacent to the Northwest gate into our parking lot where we invite you to leave recyclable paper, newspapers and magazines. This bin is emptied by a local business and the money received goes to the general costs of the church. Beside this bin, is a lidded can into which we encourage you to place any empty aluminum cans. These cans are picked up by volunteers and taken to a community recycling location. The cash received is used to help support youth missions.
