Youth Programs

Welcome to our new Youth Director,Jesslyn Popwell .

She grew up at Calvary Baptist Church, and she’s excited to begin working with us. She'll be working with Patsy Simons and Pastors Jean and Pat--and all of you--to learn about our youth program. She has a strong faith in Jesus Christ and wants to help us discover and deepen our personal faith as well. Jesslyn has a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Utah, and has great experience in drama and music. She will be gradually working into her duties as she becomes acquainted with kids and families and learns about the youth program.  Take time to introduce yourselves to her.

2012-13 YOUTH ACTIVITY SCHEDULE             

SUNDAYS:

8am & 9am—Opportunities to attend worship

10:30am - Jr & Sr High Sunday School and Confirmation Class

11:30am – 1:30pm  Jr & Sr High Youth Groups (including lunch)

1:30pm – 3:30pm  Asbury Bells (grades 7 & 8)

5:00pm – 7:30pm  Wesley Bells (grades 9-12+)

YOUTH PRAISE BAND – Faith on Fire

DANCE GROUP & DRAMA GROUP

The groups will choose their own rehearsal times, and will also be leading in worship more often this year.

All of us involved in youth ministry at Christ UMC are committed to providing the very best experiences for our young people.  We know that each kid has different interests and we encourage each family to become involved in whatever groups and classes they choose.  Our prayer is simply that each young person will find their “niche” and know that they truly belong here in our family of faith.
